This northern Orange County town, just east of our BMW dealership, got its name from once resembling a large garden with fields of oranges, strawberries, chili peppers, walnuts, peaches, grapes, and apricots.
In the early 1900s, this former chili pepper capital of the world was a small rural crossroads, before the Pacific Electric Railroad transformed the farming community. Following World War II, Garden Grove saw rapid development and was incorporated as a city in 1956, over 80 years after first being founded in 1874! While renting a Garden Grove home in 1888, R.Q. Wickham, a political leader, drew up petitions for a county charter after hearing that neighbors wanted to make a new county, separate from southern Los Angeles County.

- Follow CA-22 W as it merges onto I-405 N.
- Drive about seven miles on I-405 N, then take exit 29A toward Cherry Avenue.
- From the exit, keep right to merge onto N Temple Avenue in Long Beach.
- At the light, turn left onto E Spring Street.
- Take E Spring Street to your destination to Signal Hill after exiting.
- Continue on E Spring Street for just over three quarters of a mile and our dealership will be on your left.
