For about as long as the 7 Series has existed, there have been drivers and enthusiasts who have dreamed that the M Performance wing would build a BMW M7. With the recent launch of the new model, those dreams have been renewed. Yet the release of the M750i and B7 Alpina have squashed those rumors. Until a mysterious prototype was spied testing.

Although wearing the chassis and sheet metal of the new 7 Series, one thing caught the spy photographer's eye: the brakes. Big and featuring cross drilling, their just the thing to help slow down a beastly 600-plus-pony M model. The question is, will it come to fruition with the aforementioned models already in existence? Well, after the M2 bowed, we won't rule anything out!
