Imagine the BMW M235i coupe. Picture it in your head. Got it? Good. Now, slim it down, shed some pounds, pump up the power, and inject it with a pure dose of adrenaline.

Does it look a little something like this? If so, you've already got a pretty good idea of what the all-new 2016 BMW M2 will be able to offer to drivers in Signal Hill, CA and the greater Long Beach area. So we begin the countdown to spring. But not because winter is cold and no fun... but because we really, really, really want this car.

The 3.0L twin-turbo six-cylinder engine in this miniature beast creates a thrilling 365 horsepower and 343 pound-feet of torque, and pairs well to both its standard six-speed manual transmission and its available seven-speed automatic. The top speed is electronically limited to 155 mpg, and the 2016 BMW M2 coupe sprints from 0 to 60 in a breathtaking 4.2 seconds when equipped with the automatic.

And now you really want this car too, right?

Thought so. Unfortunately we won't be seeing the new M2 joining our new BMW lineup until next year. But it's only a few more months... of pure, terrible waiting agony.
